Letters/Reviews
| This
is a new section of Dipahead .com designed to encourage you, the
visitor, to provide some feedback for the fine work you see and where
you would like to see it go next. Below are some letters and emails I
have received already. I have had a computer meltdown in the last two
years that caused me to lose all of my email correspondence to that
date. So some very heart-touching messages are no longer around, at
least not physically - I still carry them around with me, in spirit. I
appreciate any thoughts you want to share with me - it at least lets me
know you have visited this site and think enough of it to tell me about
it. Names and addresses will be withheld for privacy.
Thank you. |

As we approach year's end, I just thought I'd take the time to tell you how much a group of public works engineers and architects have enjoyed your 2003 Outhouses calendar. I'm the Chief Deputy City Engineer for the City of Los Angeles. Our executive team is responsible for designing and building the full infrastructure for the City of Los Angeles - specifically including the Wastewater System (sewers and sewage treatment plants) as well as all public buildings in the City. Right now, I manage programs for 33 new libraries, 20 new fire stations, $600M for police stations, central jail, emergency operations center, etc, etc. We'll spend about $450M in construction this year.
The combination of Outhouses and Architects was a damn near perfect blend of our two biggest activities. When I was given the calendar last yearat Christmas, I knew that it would mean a lot to many people, so I hung it in an appropriate place on our floor.....for many people to enjoy. (see attached photo)
I went onto the internet, hoping to find an '04 version.....but alas.......... None the less, I just wanted you to know how much a bunch of wastewater engineers and architects loved your work, and to let you know the place of honor where we've displayed it.
4. Not necessarily a response to a book directly - but people send me all sorts of outhouse materials now:
Here's a picture of a public toilet in
Switzerland that's made entirely out of one-way glass. No one can see you in
there, but when you are
inside, it looks like you're sitting in a clear glass box. Could you use it?
