Cartoons by Steve Schaecher, BSU’90

Ball State University, home of the mighty Cardinals, alma mater of David Letterman, and the pride of upper- middle Indiana is also proud of its alumni. Steve Schaecher is one such alumni. The College of Architecture and Planning (CAP), where Steve spent five laborious years determining the minimum hours of sleep required to still function rationally, will be exhibiting his artwork from October 7 to November 8. The exhibit will display works from both of his books, as well as other architectural cartoons and wonderment. The event will end with a book and calendar signing (date is yet to be determined). This exhibit differs somewhat from CAP's typical exhibits that tend to feature work of notable architect's or artists that take themselves and their professions a little more seriously. However, some brevity always reminds us that we are human and architecture, like any subject can have a lighter side. Mr. Schaecher feels truly honored that his work can be seen in this format and that he has another opportunity to experience his old stomping grounds.
